Our Unique Process to Produce ESS60
The most common way we manufacture C60 is to vaporize 2 graphite rods with a carbon arc to free up individual carbon molecule pairs (C2). The pairs coalesce into the shape of a Buckyball, and ultimately this production process delivers the highest yield. The resulting product is carbon fullerene soot and the remaining material is amorphous carbons which are not known to be good for your health. So we separate the fullerenes from the amorphous carbons by soaking them in an organic solvent using Chromatography. The solvent is boiled off and collected to be recycled and the black powder left on the side of the flask after evaporation is a mix of fullerenes, typically 70% C60 and 30% C70 which we further refine for our ESS60 products. The final and most important step for making pure ESS60 is to remove the residual solvents with the proper technology. Our ESS60 is the cleanest C60 on the market today.
